What we print on, why we chose it, and what you can reasonably expect from it.
We choose blanks, we do not weave them
Every garment here starts as a blank from an established manufacturer, printed to order by our production partner. We pick the blanks, and we are specific about it on every product page — the manufacturer and model are listed under Specifications.
That is unusual for a merch store, and deliberate. If you already know you like a particular 4.2 oz ring-spun tee, you should be able to tell at a glance whether that is what you are buying.
The three tiers
- Essential
- Our standard line. Mid-weight ring-spun cotton that holds a print well and survives a real laundry cycle.
- Premium
- Upgraded blanks — heavier fabric, combed and ring-spun cotton, a more structured fit and a noticeably softer hand.
- Relic
- Limited designs, special print treatments or products we only stock for a while. When a Relic piece is retired, it is not reprinted.
Printing
Apparel is printed with direct-to-garment or direct-to-film techniques depending on the design and the fabric. Both put ink into or onto the garment rather than gluing a patch to it, which is why the print moves with the fabric instead of sitting on top like a sticker.
Mugs are dye-sublimated: the image becomes part of the glaze, so it is dishwasher safe and will not peel. Prints are pigment ink on heavyweight matte stock, which is archival — it will not yellow the way cheap poster paper does.
How to make a print last
- Wash cold and inside out. Heat is what cracks a print, not water.
- Tumble dry low, or hang dry if you can be bothered. Both help.
- Never iron directly on the print. Iron the reverse, or use a cloth.
- Skip the fabric softener — it coats fibres and dulls the print over time.
If it fails anyway
A print that cracks, peels or fades under normal use within 30 days is a manufacturing defect, not wear and tear, and we replace it free. Send a photo and your order number. Full detail is in our returns and exchanges policy.
