Ours hoards good merchandise. Here is the story — and, just as importantly, exactly how the shop works.
Every respectable adventurer needs good gear. Finding it is another matter entirely. The armourer is closed, the general store sells the same three things it sold last season, and the one merchant who genuinely knows what he is doing keeps unusual hours and a very particular back room.
That merchant is the premise of this shop.
The premise
Rare Goblin is built around a fictional shopkeeper: a goblin with an obsessive eye for good stock, a ledger he takes far too seriously, and a shop that stays open later than it strictly should. He is charming, entrepreneurial and completely honest about what he is selling — the joke was never going to be that you got fleeced.
The goblin is fiction. The goods, the prices and the policies are not.
How this actually works
We are a merchandise brand. We design the artwork, choose the blanks, write the product copy and answer the email. Printing, finishing and shipping are carried out by a print-on-demand production partner — a real factory with real equipment, which is why we can offer six sizes in five colours without a warehouse full of unsold shirts.
We think you should know that, so we say it on every product page. The blank manufacturer and model are listed under Specifications, not hidden. We do not claim to sew garments, and we would rather be the shop that tells you than the shop that gets found out.
Made to order
Nothing here sits in a box waiting. Your order is printed after you place it, which takes 2–5 business days before it ships. That is slower than a warehouse, and it is the honest trade: it means almost nothing we make is thrown away unsold.
We are not going to dress that up as an environmental campaign. Made-to-order avoids dead stock. It still involves cotton, dye, electricity and a parcel on a plane or a truck. When we have figures worth publishing, we will publish them; until then we would rather say nothing than something flattering and unverified.
What we will commit to
- Accurate descriptions. Real blanks, real weights, real measurements. The size guide is taken from the garment laid flat, so you can compare it to something you already own.
- Real prices. No inflated “compare at” price, no permanent fake sale, no countdown timers, no invented scarcity. The price is the price.
- Problems fixed properly. Damaged, misprinted or wrong items are replaced free. You do not pay return postage on our mistake.
- A person on the other end. Support email reaches someone who can look your order up and actually do something about it.
What we will not do
No fake reviews. No invented customer names. No star ratings until real customers leave them. No “17 people are viewing this”. If a technique only works because the customer does not know it is happening, it does not belong in a shop run by a goblin who is proud of his ledger.
